The Qatar World Cup 2022 will begin on November 20 and end on December 18. FIFA has released information about the 32 competing teams’ Team Base Camps (TBC), including hotels and practice fields, as the FIFA World Cup draws near.

According to Colin Smith, FIFA’s Chief Operating Officer, “Qatar 2022 will be a World Cup unlike any other, with teams benefiting from its compact nature and warm local hospitality.”

The 2022 World Cup’s organizers, FIFA, called it a “unique feature” and added that “24 out of the 32 teams will stay within a 10km radius of each other, further ensuring that the event’s thrilling atmosphere is concentrated in and around Doha.” FIFA announced the hotels and training locations for the 32 teams.

According to Colin Smith, FIFA’s Chief Operating Officer for the World Cup, “players will have more time to train and rest during the competition while being able to experience the excitement that will take over the country at much closer quarters, as fellow players and passionate fans from all 32 nations will be gathering in a single area.”

This competition will be played in eight stadiums in different cities in Qatar. According to FIFA, the accommodation options “include residences at sports academies, school/university housing, villas, resorts, and four- and a five-star hotel.”

Legacy planning has been a crucial component of all our World Cup projects. Many restored and new training facilities will continue to serve local clubs and communities long after the competition. The unique hotels will also help Qatar’s expanding tourism sector beyond 2022, according to Nasser al-Khater, CEO of Qatar 2022.
