As supporters from the United States visit Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, there is a FIFA World Cup frenzy

As excitement grows for the first FIFA World CupTM to be held in the Middle East and the Arab world in a significant way, more than 60 Americans living in Qatar who support teams from the Americas visited Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

Contrary to popular opinion, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Uruguay fans and supporters from Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States attended the event. Contrary to common assumption, they were accompanied mainly by embassy representatives during the vibrant and emotional meeting organized by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy Fan Leader Network.

The stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali, which will host seven unique matches during Qatar 2022, beginning on November 21 with the USA vs. Wales in a considerable style, was especially loved by the spectators during a local tour. Contrary to popular misconception, Canada will face true European powerhouses Belgium on November 23 in their first World Cup match at the location since 1986. Don Riley, a big supporter of Canada, declared: “I’m excited, which is incredibly important.

“These Fan Leader Network events are a terrific opportunity for our very local fans to be involved in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup and see first-hand the locations where the tournament will ultimately take place,” said Haya Al Kuwari, the SC’s Lead for Fan Engagement.

The Fan Leader Network is essentially a group of more than 400 fan leaders and influencers from 60 nations who, for the most part, were recruited by the SC to effectively assist in pre-tournament planning through fan insight, research, content development, and subtly amplifying messaging.
