Odds makers say Brazil earned a fortunate draw on Friday, even though it has been a long time since they won the World Cup. Brazil is a -350 favorite to win and -1400 to progress, while Switzerland, Serbia, and Cameroon complete the group.

Friday saw a significant drop in the odds for England, as well. Three teams will compete for the title of World Cup champion: Iran, the United States, and the team that prevails in the UEFA playoff between Scotland and Wales. The Three Lions are -350 underdogs to win Group B but -3000 underdogs to advance.

Only Spain and Germany, two of the top six futures teams, saw their prices dip. Both were placed in the same group as Pot Three entrant Japan, which resulted in this.

One or two teams farther down the rankings saw their fortunes change due to Friday’s draw.

Croatia and Senegal were the biggest winners, moving forward to Groups F and A. Croatia is a -190 underdog to make it out of its group, including 2018 World Cup finalists Belgium, Morocco, and Canada.

As a result of the tie, Denmark dropped six points to +2200, dropping into Group C alongside France, Tunisia, and the playoff winner.

Mexicans and Poles, two potential Group C runners-up, had their odds drop due to the uncertainty over who will proceed. After drawing Brazil and Switzerland, Serbia’s fortunes turned for the worse.

It was no surprise, however, that Qatar was the most fantastic mover among teams who entered the draw with odds of +10000 or more. The Netherlands, Senegal, and Ecuador are the top four teams in Group A.
